吉隆坡市刑事调查局副主任纳斯里7月18日指出，警方在接获可靠情报后，于当日凌晨到半山芭一个高级公寓进行突击，当场拘捕28名男女，并且缴获克他命毒品及避孕套。

警方初步调查，举办方是以300令吉租下位于公寓第36楼的该住宅进行“庆生趴”，出席者是通过手机应用程序WhatsApp受邀出席，且是没有收费。
